The Center for Research And Archive of Anecdotal Folk Tales is retained by various groups to discover what is driving strange and often destructive occurrences that plague our clients. In joining our team, you will be employing your skills as a researcher and analyst to decipher various mysteries and encryption to reveal tales of gods, demons and fantastic creatures from around the world.

This is an ongoing adventure where you get a box in the mail every month that has a mission that is unique to that month. You will get puzzles and ciphers and some backstory and then have to solve things to complete your mission for the month
The CRAAAFT is based on folklore from around the world! Step into our parlor and relax for a bit. We have a tale to spin... Unique and compelling puzzles Can be played in groups or alone! Each month is a standalone challenge.
One of our goals is to introduce you to some pretty fascinating mythological figures that you may or may not know. If you are so inclined, you can research them and find out more about the folklore, but that isn’t necessary to solve the game.

The puzzles aren’t too easy to solve, but also aren’t so difficult that you can’t figure them out without hints (although they do provide them if you need them, I very stubbornly refused to look!). What stands out even more than the product itself are the people behind it. I had some unique shipping hurdles to overcome. The team behind this product gave the best customer service I have seen in a LONG time. I don’t know any of their names, and my dealings have been always through email. They are quick and responsive, and really want to help you. The only negative thing I can find, is that I didn’t know about them sooner. If you like puzzles and cyphers, and history, without serial killers and horror, I would suggest joining the Resystance!!

December - The Holly King
As the year comes to a close, we have been made aware of a situation that you are uniquely qualified to help us address. It seems that the transition to a new year is being thwarted by the Holly King, king of the waning year. He has become offended and refuses to relinquish his hold on the sun to the Oak King so we may begin our journey into the New Year. The Holly King feels that the old ways have not been honored this year, and refuses to allow the days to begin to grow longer until he can be appeased. The Holly King joined us at the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. Since that day, the Holly King has ruled over the ever shortening days and lengthening nights. If he does not step aside to allow the Oak King his reign, the days will continue to shorten until, without the sun, we will be plunged into everlasting darkness and cold. Help us solve the mysteries and remember how and why we honor the return of the sun.

You pay only the fees listed. Shipping is $5/box within the US and $15 to Canada
The Resystance has stories based on resistance movements throughout history with topics such as the American Civil war, Suffragettes and Gandhi. The CRAAAFT has stories based on folklore and myth from around the world. It includes topics such as Native American water spirits and Tibetan hungry ghosts. The Tower of the Four is a series based on the award winng novelist Todd Fahenestock's series of the same name.
The CRAAAFT ships the second week of the month and The Resystance ships the last week of the month, except in December when we ship daily beginning the second week of the month. Shipping times vary depending on your location.
You can cancel or suspend your subscription at any time. You will not be charged for any more subscription cycles until you reactivate your account.
Each month is a stand-alone story that you can enjoy by itself. The individual mysteries do not need to go in a particular order and you can start at any time.
In addition to what is in the box, you will need a way to connect to the internet. There will be online activities and if you are anything like us, you will want to do your research and find out more about these fascinating people and their stories.
